Step 1: Chapter 1 Quiz: review on Quizlet for Chapter 1 quiz. Play one round of Kahoot and then we will take the quiz. Click here for the quiz.
Step 2: Chapter 1 Videos: on Google Classroom, you will find videos for Chapter 1, the Backstage View. Since most of us do not pay much attention to this menu outside of printing, this option may be new to you (unless you have taken Microsoft Word). These videos, and ONLY the videos for Chapter 1, will walk you through the steps on how to complete each exercise. After that, each video represents a specific skill for that particular chapter.

Welcome to your daily assignment lists for Excel. You may access this Website through Google Classroom. Each day you visit this page, you will see the assignments that are due for the day.
Daily Goal: you are expected to fill out the daily goal for the day and you are expected to turn in work EVERY day. The daily goal is one way that I know that you are active in the class, especially if you are in remote learning.
Laptops: if you are in remote learning, you are first on the list for laptops. Since last semester’s class did not return the laptops in a timely manner, the updating of the laptops are in process right now. Ten of them are expected to be completed by the end of the day tomorrow. If you are returning to school next week, you are not eligible for a laptop at this time since there are a limited number and I have two classes that need them. If you are planning on remaining in remote learning, put your name in the Google Meet Chat and I will put you on a list for laptops.
Two Flash Drives: you should have two flash drives: one serves as a backup. Make sure you backup your work each class period. If you lose your exercises and they have not been graded, you will have to do them over to earn a grade. I highly recommend that you have your flash drives and that you back them up.
Folder Setup: on your flash drive, create the following folders:
- Excel folder
- Inside the Excel folder, create a folder for Chapter 1.
- Create a folder inside your Chapter 1 folder called “Exercises“
- Follow the directions that are given on each of your exercises in regards to remaining folders.
Snapping Two Windows: when you are working in Excel, you will receive directions in Microsoft Word and an exercise in Excel. To view them side by side, snap them together. If you are unsure how to do this, please watch this short video.
