😃Welcome😃
Welcome to the Business & Technology Class Website. Because Mr. Read and Ms. Murphy collaborate together for classes, we both will use this site. This page is designed to provide for you and your parents/guardians access to class materials that may not be able to be provided or uploaded into Google Classroom. For example, if you are enrolled in the ISS Word or Excel classes, you will have to access your chapter handouts and exercises here. Since Google Classroom works through your Google Drive, and we are using Microsoft, we want to avoid opening documents and spreadsheets in Google Docs or Sheets.
If you do not remember the URL for the class Website, you can access the Website through Google Classroom on your Website link document provided in the Links section under Classwork.
PARTICIPATION: Readiness to learn means that you are expected to come to class with the required supplies as well as with questions and insights that allow you to brainstorm with others in your learning process. You are expected to share your working knowledge with your peers, and work collaboratively on projects.
Google Classroom: Mr. Read and Ms. Murphy will be both using Google Classroom as the DBMS for students. Though there may be exceptions to the turning in of assignments for their classes, but the majority of assignments will be submitted through Google Classroom. Google Forms may be used for special projects; however, a link will be provided to the students through their daily assignment lists.
Daily Assignment Lists: both teachers use daily assignment lists to provide daily work for students. These daily assignments lists may be used for both work assigned and grades assigned. In Skyward, you may see the daily assignment list recorded. This grade will be a summation of all work assigned for the day. Students will receive points for filling out daily goals (if a teacher uses this process). This will also be included on the daily assignment lists. Students may also be asked to complete a re-assessment slide on each daily assignment list. Students will be provided questions in regards to what they have learned, what they may still be struggling with and/or what they enjoy about that day’s lesson. They will receive points for answering the questions as well as turning in their completed daily assignment list.
